Nagy meglepetést okozott, hogy a zászlók, kitüzök és egyebek gazdag termékválasztékával rendelkezö amerikai CRW cég felfedezte és a portálján szóvá is tette a Budakesser Gemeinschaft (Bad Rappenau, Deutschland) zászlaját, hiszen eldugott helyen, az én alig látogatott honlapomon talált rá a kétezres évek elején.

István Molnár found this flag in my homepage and made the following remark that time at http://www.crwflags.com.
(My previous web site with the same link ("kemma-auf-wudigess.de") had been deleted several years ago, but it was revitalized in 2014.)

"I have found a photo of a flag at >www.kemma-auf-wudigess.de<. This flag is different from the flag of the settlement. The inscription is German on the flag. I THINK this flag and coat of arms is the flag and coat of arms of the German Ethnic Minority Council of Budakeszi/Wudigess.
István Molnár, 14 January 2003"

And it was my answer to him that time:

(...) Among ten tousands of German immigrats the first Albrechts left Oberstadion (Ulm, Germany) to Hungary after the Turkish troops were beaten by the end of 17th century.

During the 150 years Turkish occupation Hungary lost almost its total population. After the WW II a great part of the Hungarian citizens with German origin was expelled from its home to Germany. So happend it also in Budakeszi/Wudigess.

The expelled people from Budakeszi/Wudgess have established a society "Budakesser Gemeinschaft" in Germany. They have designed this flag. Their own flag is what you have found in my web site.

About the flag: The inscripiton is really German: Wudigess (it is the German name of Budakeszi), Ofner Bergland (Budai Hegyvidék = mountains around Buda, where you can find Budakeszi/Wudigess, as well). The Flag shows the roman chatolic church in Budakeszi/Wudigess, and the mountains arround. The highest is the János hegy/Johannisberg (John Montain).

Two dates are besides the church: 1698 and 1946.
1698 is the year of the arrival of the first German colonists to Budakeszi/Wudigess. 1946 is the year , when a lot of Hungarian citizens with German descent were expelled from Budakeszi/Wudigess. (about 4000 of the total 8000).

About the CRW: The CRW Flags retail store is located in Glen Burnie, Maryland. They offer flags of all nations in various sizes, as well as flagpoles and flag related hardware and accessories....
